Stump Grinding is often a wish of our clients after a tree removal has taken place. A stump grinder is a machine that varies from a couple of hundred pounds to a couple of thousand pounds that have a spinning head with carbide teeth, (similar to a carpenters wood saws just on a much larger scale) that chips away at the stump making fine wood shavings. This process can either completely remove a stump below the surface grade or simply going just deep enough to replant grass where the stump used to be.
